It seems that the news is full of economic doom and gloom lately. An aftermarket company providing parts and services however can continue to grow in these times by providing opportunities for equipment and engine owners to save money…without risk.
If things have slowed down for your company, they probably have for your customers and prospects as well. Everybody’s a little more receptive today to ways of saving money. Some of those prospects who would never listen to the aftermarket engine parts story might be more willing today, and the IPD story you can tell is better than ever.

| NEW IPDSTEEL™ PISTON CROWN 1684540 AVAILABLE IN CYLINDER KITS FOR CERTAIN 3406C & 3406E APPLICATIONS: |

This new IPDSteel™ two-piece articulated cast steel piston crown is used in 3406C & 3406E engine serial numbers 41Z, 11N & 3ER. The cylinder kit part number from IPD is PLG1684540 or PLG1684540CS for the Original IPD Crevice Seal Style Cylinder Liner. It is not available within In or Out of Frame engine kits at this time. It can also be an upgrade from aluminum to two-piece articulated pistons within the above serial numbers (in complete sets only) with some modifications. These modifications include upgrading the piston cooling jets, cooling jet bolt and a new fuel injector nozzle washer. This upgrade is outlined in the OEM Service Magazine SEPD0603-00 available from your OEM dealer.
