IPD RELEASES ANOTHER GALLERY COOLED ALUMINUM PISTON FOR 3406 / 3408 / 3412 MARINE ENGINES

Also released this past month from IPD, a new aluminum one piece 14:1 compression ratio piston for certain 3406 / 3408 / 3412 B, C and E engines. This piston is gallery cooled as is the original piston for this application.

New piston part number is 1746102 and will be available bare or in cylinder kit (PLG) form as outlined below.

Rebuilders are realizing that the quality of both rebuilt oil pumps in the market as well as other aftermarket new oil pumps are not what they expect or can afford to put into their engines. IPD has developed 2 oil pump repair kit options so that you can confidently and competitively build your own pumps.

Other companies may offer these parts but due to the critical nature of oil pumps, our customers have requested IPD’s higher standards in qualify these items.

Example: IPD oil pump shaft and gear assemblies include over 35 quality checks:
	18 specific to the shafts
	15 for the gears
	2 for the complete assembly!

IPD IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE TWO NEW MEMBERS OF OUR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PURCHASING TEAMS

As we have stressed in past newsletters, we feel our ability to develop the new products quickly, accurately and most of all with quality foremost is a key to our success in this industry and assures your ability to compete. Continuing in our commitment we are proud to announce the following additions to IPD team:

John Brooks has recently come on board and will serve as IPD’s Purchasing Manager. John is a graduate of LSU and began his Heavy-Duty engine parts career at Korody-Colyer in 1989 and stayed with the Federal Mogul organization until 2006. John has wide industry knowledge and will be a great help in keeping up the flow of IPD products.

Roger Spooner has rejoined IPD after leaving in 2004 to seek other interests. Roger is a thirteen year veteran of IPD and brings with him a well rounded knowledge of engine applications. His efforts at IPD will be devoted full time to the Product Development and Tech Support department.
